The Bethany Lafferty School of Dance

Note to self: if Bethany becomes a dancer and opens her own studio and asks for help naming it, remind her of the catchphrase she has been throwing around today: Cha-Cha For Now!

Pre-Christmas Catch-up: December

The last post covered the major happenings of November, so let's see what has happened this month, shall we?

Bethany made it through swim class -- she won't be moving up just yet, but she's getting a lot better!
Bethany and Rebekah were in a small Christmas program put on by the lower grades at school. Bethany played Mary and did a great job!

 We decorated Christmas cutout cookies:

And we found Bethany sleeping in yet another odd position (notice: no blanket, but she's wearing a sweater and using another sweater to cover her legs...)
We went to the Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo with some friends!

(Here Bekah with one of her godfathers!)
We got our girls to (kind of) pose for pictures, just because they all happened to be dressed up...

...because they were headed to the Trinity Christmas show! Lots of enthusiasm from our (no longer very) little girls!

(you can tell Bethany was really into it because her little opera voice came out in a few spots!)

And with that, we're caught up.
We hope you all have a fantastic Christmas & New Year (and hopefully I'll post the actual holiday pictures a bit faster)!

Pre-Christmas Catch-up: November

So it has been a ridiculously long time since I posted here, because, well, that is apparently how I roll. But. Christmas is coming, which means the picture folders on our computer are about to get a LOT bigger. Point is, if I don't post anything now to cover what has happened since mid-November, trying to cover it all after Christmas will be the death of me.

So. Let's get to it!

The girls had a Thanksgiving feast at school, and I somehow managed not to get any pictures of Bethany...

(Abby made the cut, despite, you know, not actually being in school...)

We saw lots of Christmasy things in Hamburg (New York, not Germany)

We've played in the snow (what little there has been, anyway...)

And we decorated for Christmas, including our tiny tree (a last-minute replacement for our old tree)

Your Point?

I had the following conversation with Abby while decorating cookies tonight:

Mommy: The cookies are for everyone. That's my point.
Abby: That's your point?
Mommy: Yeah, that's my point.
Abby: What's my point?

Love her!
